Our church provides a weekly one hour Sunday School for young people up to the age of 20. It takes place at the same time as our church services. You do not have to be a Christian Scientist to enroll your children in Sunday School. We hope to provide our entire community access to a loving, prayer based education for their children and young adults. They can join in at any point.
“God is Love”
Early lessons are about the spiritual principles of the Lord’s Prayer, the Ten Commandments, and the Sermon on the Mount –which form the basis for understanding prayer and healing. There are simple hymns at the beginning and end of the morning.
Bible stories are used to anchor lessons and older classes incorporate discussion of the Weekly Bible Lesson as well to learn how prayer is a practical way to see and feel the presence of God in their lives. This same lesson forms the basis of Sunday Church services drawing from the King James Bible and Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy, the discoverer and founder of Christian Science.
We provide child care and a lovely play space for those transitioning to Sunday School. Please bring along any favorite snacks or bottles with your diaper bag. Thank you. Your infants, children and teens are welcome to be in our Sunday church services if they prefer to sit with you.
